The main theory, in lumen, is that when you die your soul is taken to the stars where it is judged for 50 years. A person is forced to watch the world they have left, and see the people they have effected. The state of your soul after this rest period is then judged by the keeper of the stars. The judge is an impartial being, and they judge a person based on their life alive and their reflection period.

The state in which they are forced to watched others is called Aeternus -- "the infinite." and then when they are judged it is called Extumum -- "the end."

Depending on whether ur soul is judged to be good or not Extumum is swag or not swag. if you're good you end up becoming stardust, put back into the cosmos, and reincarnated if your soul desires. If ur bad you go to what is essentially hell where you gain ur mortal body back and given a punishment that suits your misdeeds. Contra passo, dante's inferno style.

Gilded Plains:

Maybe they'd just believe something similar, but you have your soul weighed at the start to see whether you're worthy of ascension (lowkey ancient egypt styles). If you're worthy you move on to 'watching' your life and then the very best can be reincarnated. If you're bad, same thing
